| The Miniature Goldendoodle is a small to medium-sized, affectionate and attentive dog. It is the result of a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Miniature Poodle. This has produced a dog with a friendly, gentle nature that resembles a fluffy little teddy bear. For this reason, they have become a popular family dog who loves children and is a devoted companion. They have the energy and caress of the Miniature Poodle, while retaining the gentleness and willingness to please of the Golden Retriever. The Miniature Goldendoodle loves human contact, will follow you from room to room just to be with you, and loves to cuddle. They can be quite clumsy, entertaining you with their high-energy tricks and antics. | The Poodle is an ancient breed, dating back a few thousand years. They originated in Germany as working dogs, retrieving waterfowl for hunters. The French population adored the Poodle and refined the breed into three sizes, the standard used to retrieve waterfowl, the miniature for finding truffles and the Miniature Poodle as companions of the French nobility. They were also responsible for the outrageous hairstyle we associate with the Poodle, which was originally designed by circus staff who trained it to entertain. Although often considered chic, the Poodle is a dog with a sense of humor, easy to train and a calm, affectionate nature. | ||

| The Miniature Goldendoodle starts out as a small ball of down, and as it grows, it becomes a larger ball of soft curls. The coat is dense and soft, often curly or at least wavy, and of medium length. They can vary in size being a hybrid breed, although the body is always well proportioned, with agile legs that often have the caracolant-style walk of Poodles. Their faces are attractive, with large, expressive black eyes, a black nose and a short to medium muzzle. The teeth meet in a scissor bite. The top of their head is rounded and their floppy ears are widely set. The tail is long and often fluffy or feathered, and there are areas on the face with the longest hair. The Miniature Goldendoodle has a very attractive appearance and personality, making it an ideal affectionate pet for children and families. |

| The Miniature Goldendoodle has a friendly, serious and affectionate nature. These devoted small-to-medium-sized dogs like people and want to be in close contact at all times. They can develop separation anxiety if left alone for too long, so if you're at work all day leaving your dog alone, this is not the dog for you. They make ideal pets if they're well-behaved and fully socialized. These gentle, cuddly dogs also get on well with pets and other dogs. They are rare barkers, but will warn of strangers arriving on the property, or can be protective if they perceive a threat. But generally, the Miniature Goldendoodle just wants your attention, a game or two, or a nap on your lap or feet. They can adapt well to apartment living, but will still need that daily walk. If the house has a yard, they'll investigate every inch and join in family games or happily play the clown to entertain his family. | The Miniature Goldendoodle requires a little grooming, generally they need brushing at least two to three times a week. Although they are weak to medium, their coat can easily mat. A professional groomer may be needed every two to three months just to tidy up the coat and keep it looking its best. Some Miniature Goldendoodles are hypoallergenic, only some to be clear, but this must be confirmed before buying and depends on the kennel. Only bathe him when necessary with a mild shampoo specially formulated for dogs, to avoid drying out their sensitive skin. Ears should be checked regularly for dirt or infection, and teeth brushed to maintain oral health. Finish grooming with nail clippers if necessary, but don't cut too close to the nail bed or you could injure it. |
