In tribute to

Dourga, my loving girlfriend

Thanks to

Myriam

My Dourga, the 1st time I saw you you were 2 days old and I was led to believe that you were a little dobby, just what I was looking for.

When you were 15 days old, I took you "on leave" for half a day so that we could get to know each other; at just 1 month old you came to the house, and that lasted for almost 16 years.

Growing up, I was forced to realize that you had plenty of breeds but nothing of the ratter variety, especially not the ability to catch a mouse.

You hunted them all your life, but always without success.

As a little girl, you were infernal; I've never seen anything like you !!!! but you were so sweet, with an enormous tenderness and kindness that never wavered throughout your life.

I don't have the words to tell you, but you know what we went through; you know how strong it was and how it will last forever.

I wanted you to live forever, even though I knew it was utopian, and the sad reality caught up with us on December 18, 2003, when I had to take you to the vet for the last time because it was no longer possible for us, despite my persistence for months and months.

I went home without you...

I left a part of myself on that damned metal table ...

I have your ashes in a small urn, but as you were cold, I'm waiting for the fine weather to scatter them in the garden you so loved to dig.

Farewell my little Dourga, be happy in dog heaven with all the friends you'll meet.
