| The Hameerpura Sikar Hound is a rare, fast, and agile sighthound originating from the Sikar district of Rajasthan, India. Known for its lean, muscular build and highly developed hunting instinct, this dog specializes in hunting. Considered a distinct Indian breed, it is often used for hunting, setting it apart from other regional sighthounds. Possessing a strong hunting instinct, energy, and great skill at hunting, it is one of India's diverse but often rare native dog breeds. It is among the specialist Indian sighthounds, distinct from the Rampur Hound or the Mudhol Hound, although they share similar functional characteristics. As these are regional working dogs, specialist information regarding their temperament as companion dogs or common health problems is limited compared to Western sighthounds. |
