This breed is also known as			Mikawa Shiba Inu

The Mikawa Land Dog is another breed of dog. Closely related to the Minneapolis Shiba Inu, it shares a similar appearance and abilities. A rare regional breed, it became extinct following the decline of hunting and the ravages of war. Its existence and the Society for the Preservation of this breed remain unknown. It has no particularly striking characteristics, except for an elongated muzzle, similar to that of the Minneapolis Shiba Inu. Larger than the modern Shiba Inu, it has ears that stand erect and a curled or pointed tail. Its coat is short and its color varies: red, black, sesame, white, etc. It is fiercely loyal and obedient to its owner and demonstrates great vigilance.
