| You were so small, gray and white, snuggled up against the soft fur of your tender mother... And I adopted you, took you home... When I think of you, of your loving eyes, of your frantic games, of our child's laughter, my eyes darken and my throat tightens, my sweet companion... You've had your troubles, a man has hurt you, left you a paw, O my sweet innocent! And your life was like that, then on your three legs, but your little loving heart made you the most beautiful... O my cat, I loved you... When I think of you, my eyes mist with tears, and how I miss drowning my face in your soft fleece... |
