In tribute to

My little Becky darling

Thanks to

Anne-Marie

It's been two years since you left the human world, two years since I can't stop thinking about you every day (it was the night of May 12 to 13, 2000).

You who breathed only through me, who lived only thanks to me.

At the age of three, the vet diagnosed epilepsy. He warned us that he would have to take medicine every day for the rest of his life.

So for ten years I made you swallow those damned tablets, sometimes you'd spit them out, sometimes you wouldn't eat, I'd put the pill in the back of your throat, you had to be on treatment at all costs, otherwise the seizures would come on and you'd come out exhausted.

Of course you had them, but I was there to reassure you, talk to you and, above all, never leave your side for a moment!
We had to stop going on holiday, because the heat made you too tired, so we tried not to stress you out!
When we knew there was nothing left to do, we looked after you day and night.

On the last night, you wanted to go to bed like every night, so we stayed close to you, watching you and I think you knew.

The night was very long, you had more and more seizures, the last one stronger than the others closed your eyes, but first you looked at me, I'll never forget your look, your beautiful black eyes seemed to be saying good bye...

We cried a lot, we put you in the garden, with flowers everywhere, every morning I came to say hello!
Now we've moved, I think it's better for you to stay in your garden, there's plenty of room here too, I don't know what we're going to do yet, sometimes I feel like going to look for you, but I tell myself you're fine there!

Thank you Becky for all the love you've given us, thank you for being a ray of sunshine for thirteen years!
I'll never forget you!
