In tribute to To my dog WagnerThanks to Jack Harris |
|
| When I saw him born I took him for a child, He was a little thing, He was so charming. When I saw him grow He was my companion, I loved to see him run All over the house. When I saw him grow old I was his child Though he obeyed me All his life. When I saw him die, I understood that day Had come to pass The end of a beautiful love. For you were faithful to me, Devoted servant, Your brotherly love Did not fail me. I loved you my dog Oh, my sheepdog, And my grief for you Will never fade. |
