In tribute to

Fanor

Thanks to

Lilly

When I was a child in Brittany, I knew a dog that could talk!

He was a big beige Labrador named Fanor.

His owners were very modest pensioners who lived in a large single room on the edge of the fields, and they were very happy.

Their single room was all shiny, tidy and flooded with sunlight.

They were very knowledgeable, knowing all about nature and all the plants that grew there.

I loved eating the pink meadow mushrooms we'd just picked.

Their dog Fanor followed them around like an attentive child and understood everything !

When, at the end of the meal, his master shared a piece of cheese with him and asked, “Would you like some more? ”

Fanor would bend his head and say very clearly, “Come on ... let's ... !! “ and that's how that dog talked !

Ah, how I loved that little house under the hazel trees where we drank the “frênette” prepared by my friends.
