I was five years old,
When, sadly,
My heart was tired,
You left me;

I was told,
That you hadn't woken up,
But I was lied to,
For you were euthanized.

I know you did,
You were in pain,
You wanted to go to sleep,
To stop suffering,

Impossible to cure you,
Nor to alleviate your pain,
So we decided to kill you,
Which made my happiness escape,

I never forgot you,
In my childish mind,
And the lie they made me hear,
At the tender age of five.
