A brief presentation of the Biro Yorkshire Terrier
The Biro Yorkshire Terrier is a rare breed of dog, but it's becoming increasingly popular worldwide. This dog's pretty, innocent face, alert, cheerful attitude and self-confidence are traits that make it an ideal companion. They fit into any home, even the smallest apartment, as they only reach around 3 kilos. They take their name from the initial fusion of the letters of the names of the people who developed the breed, Birgit Rosner and Roberto Krah. The dog's attractive color combination, dark chocolate on a white background and the addition of gold on the head, makes the Biro Yorkshire Terrier a truly attractive little dog. Combine that with their attractive size and softness, and who could possibly resist them? Gentle, mischievous and delicate, yet with a larger-than-life personality, the Biro Yorkshire Terrier is destined to be a high flier in the breeder's stakes. But best of all, it's the companionship and loyalty that the Biro Yorkshire Terrier brings to its owner.

History of the Biro Yorkshire Terrier
The Biro Yorkshire Terrier breed began when, during the winter of 2004-2005, two puppies from different German breeders were born, both unique in coloring. They were a rich chocolate on a white background and had a golden color all over their heads. Because the breeders loved the coloring so much, they decided to work together and soon began breeding the Biro Yorkshire Terrier. The breed immediately attracted positive attention, which has continued to grow. Careful selection was observed, with the aim of preserving this attractive coloring. The owners created an acronym from their names, and so Biro Yorkshire Terrier was created and registered. Although it's too early to tell if there are any outstanding health issues, they can be compared to their Yorkshire Terrier parent for information. The appeal of the Biro Yorkshire Terrier, apart from that delicious white and gold chocolate color, is their size. They can share even the smallest homes, adore children and make great friends with the resident cat or other dogs. The Yorkshire Terrier was bred to hunt small vermin, so the instinct is still there in the Biro Yorkshire Terrier. Mice that may reside in the home will have trouble with this little hunter, so a future owner needs to be aware of the possibilities and the need for vigilance. The appeal of this little dog is its size, personality and appearance, and with more people moving into smaller homes, this puppy will fit in very well. As a companion for a single or elderly person, they're perfect. Like any small dog, they seem to have a larger-than-life personality and need to be socialized and well trained early in life to overcome any obsessive behavior. As the breed expands its range of homes, we can expect to see many more of this rare dog.

Appearance of the Biro Yorkshire Terrier
The Biro Yorkshire Terrier is a small, long-haired Terrier-type dog exclusively in chocolate on a white background with a touch of gold on the head. They have a chocolate-colored nose and very expressive dark round eyes. Their head is small and slightly rounded, with a medium-length muzzle in proportion to their head. Their ears are V-shaped and erect. Their teeth can be scissor-like or bite-like. The Biro Yorkshire Terrier's body is compact and neat, with straight front legs and muscular hind legs. Their paws are small and rounded, well padded and often hidden by their long, silky coat that hangs straight down from their body. Their tail has an abundance of long fur and is carried high like a flag, though not straight. Adorable and seductive, these little dogs are making a name for themselves in the popularity stakes. Their charming personality is the finishing touch that will endear this dog forever.

Temperament of the Biro Yorkshire Terrier
The Biro Yorkshire Terrier is a lucky little dog that is very affectionate and loves to be with its owner. They're happiest when they feel useful, so train them to do chores and they'll love it. While most are cuddly and happy, some can be mischievous and outgoing. They'll need to have set limits and be kept busy with walks and chores. A bored dog will always get into trouble, so keep an eye on that little ball of fur and the moment they start getting into something they shouldn't, quickly divert them with a game or a cuddle. These are outgoing little dogs who love to be part of family life, they'll join you for movie nights, cuddle when you're reading and follow you to see what you're up to. They're a real companion dog. Biro Yorkshire Terriers love to play with children, just keep an eye on them to make sure they don't get too rough or get hurt. Friendly, sociable and loyal, Biro Yorkshire Terriers are lively personalities whose frolics will keep you laughing and happy.

Needs and activities of the Biro Yorkshire Terrier
Biro Yorkshire Terriers are active indoors, but don't need much exercise. They're active around the house, but still love to wander around and gather admiring glances. A daily walk will keep them mentally and physically alert, and is a great way to socialize your dog. They're very playful and will happily play with children or other pets. It's only pet mice that still have the instinct to hunt, so if you have a pet mouse, you may need to keep it away from your little hunter. Although small, the Biro Yorkshire Terrier still loves to get out and explore. If you have a secure yard, they'll love walking around and exploring the garden. Just keep an eye on them so they don't get into trouble or find a hole to move into and explore. They love being part of the family and expect to be treated like one.

Maintenance of the Biro Yorkshire Terrier
Biro Yorkshire Terriers have long, silky coats, just like the Yorkshire Terrier parent breed. The coat needs regular brushing once a week to keep it from matting and looking its best. Their coat is unique and they shed very little. Bathe this little cutie every two weeks or so to keep her coat beautiful and shiny, using a gentle dog shampoo designed to retain its natural skin oils. A conditioner designed for long, silky dog fur may be necessary to keep tangles at bay. Bathing is a time for bonding and affection, and your dog will love all the attention. You may need to dry your dog, then pull their hair back from their eyes, securing it in a strip to keep it out of their eyes. Check their ears and keep the inner ear dry and clean, being as gentle as possible in this sensitive area. Keep your dog's nails trimmed, just be careful not to cut them too close to the nail bed. If in doubt, ask your vet to show you how. This small canine breed will need to brush its teeth several times a week to keep cavities at bay. Afterwards, relax and have fun together.
