Kau-Chow
German Cau-Chow Watchdog
This is a recently developed protection breed, created in Germany by crossing Caucasian Ovcharkas with Chow-Chows. To improve dressage, German Shepherd blood was also introduced. By combining the protective instincts and physical stamina of the Caucasian Shepherd Dog and the Chinese Chow-Chow, the makers of the Cau-Chow are trying to create a property guardian that is healthier, more powerful and easier to exercise than its progenitor parents. Although the Cau-Chow sticks to its human family and is friendly and playful with familiar people, it is primarily a guard dog that is extremely territorial and intolerant of strangers. Very dominant and aggressive, this breed does not get along with other dogs and is not suited to life in an apartment, but can lead a happy life in urban environments if given an enclosed yard and sufficient exercise.

The Cau-Chow is a broad-headed, strong-boned Molossus built for resilience and agility. Larger than the Chow-Chow, but smaller than the Caucasian Ovtcharka, this is a very athletic, healthy working dog. The ears can be carried hanging or half-shortened, and are carried in their normal state. The tail is richly covered and curved over the back. This is a strikingly handsome dog, said to resemble a young lion, thanks to its large head and long, abundant coat, which requires regular grooming. The most popular color is solid yellow gold, but fawn, red, brown, gray and black specimens are also well accepted. Small white patches are permitted on the feet and chest, but are not desirable. The average height is around 61 centimeters.

This hybrid is still too new, so there's virtually no information about it, so please be patient.
