The Black Mouth Cur is a relatively new breed, dating back to 1964. The Spitz Toy / Pomeranian is descended from the older Spitz breeds and is closely related to the Samoyed, American Eskimo Dog and German Spitz. The first Spitz Toy / Pomeranian weighed around 13.5 kilos, the Black Mouth Pom Cur will be close to this weight. The Black Mouth Cur is a highly trainable and intelligent dog.
