The Céris is an extinct dog breed, created in France by Monsieur de Céris. It was developed for pack hunting, targeting both small game (such as hares) and larger animals (such as wolves). Its ancestors included the *Chien blanc du Roi* (King's White Dog) and smaller Swiss hounds. Little information is available about this breed, other than the fact that it was used to create the Billy breed before going extinct.
